& Phone

Karen Turner has been providing face to face online and phone counselling and therapy to her clients for over 10 years.

You can attend your live online or phone counselling session from anywhere in British Columbia or worldwide, whether you're traveling, in the comfort of your home, vacation home, or working away.

Do you …

  • live outside of the Comox Valley, BC? Or in a remote area of BC?

  • travel as part of your job or lifestyle?

  • have physical, medical or mobility problems that make it difficult for you to leave your home to access the support services you need?

  • prefer the online or phone counselling service delivery?

  • have other reasons or are you curious if online face to face or phone counselling and therapy is right for you?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, online or phone counselling and therapy may be for you.

I was relieved when I moved to Vancouver and could continue my counselling with Karen online. I had some difficult changes in my life and a lot of stress.  I saw Karen in person for some time. She helped me so much. Seeing her online was really good … just as effective.

Online and phone counselling is a convenient alternative to in person counselling sessions. It allows individuals to continue counselling and therapy or coaching without interruption, and progress can continue without delay.

Online and phone counselling and therapy has become a primary way of meeting with counsellors and other health professionals.

Reports from hundreds of satisfied clients and research show that it can be as effective and as in-office counselling.

Services are CONFIDENTIAL in accordance with BCACC professional ethics. I comply with the requirements of the Personal Information and Protection of Privacy Act (PIPPA).

Are you in crisis?

Online and phone counselling and therapy, is not appropriate for everybody. Karen does not offer immediate crisis counselling by phone.

Karen’s online services are not available if you are experiencing or have experienced any of the following symptoms or issues:

  • If you feel suicidal, homicidal, or have thoughts of wanting to hurt yourself or someone else. If you are experiencing other types of emotional crises and need immediate help. Instead, call 911, the 24-hour emergency crisis line in your area (BC, Canada: 1-888-494-3888), or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

  • If you are experiencing psychotic symptoms (hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking).

  • If you are addicted to drugs or alcohol and are currently using the substances.

  • If you have been diagnosed or may have a psychiatric illness, such as schizophrenia.

For help with these issues, please contact your doctor, the community mental health services in your area, hospital emergency services or other crisis or support services in your area.
